Index-Translate-35B-A3B-preview is the flagship text model of Index-Translate, a multilingual machine-translation model family open-sourced on 2026-09-30 by Bilibili's Index LLM team under the Apache-2.0 license, with weights on Hugging Face (IndexTeam) and ModelScope plus a technical report and an online demo. Built on Alibaba's Qwen3.5, it is a Mixture-of-Experts model with 35B total / ~3B active parameters and a 262,144-token context, targeting translation across 150 languages (including Chinese and English) with both translation-quality and instruction-following objectives. Bilibili reports FLORES COMET-22 0.8794, a WMT26 Judge score of 76.76/100, an instruction-following translation IFscore of 0.8336, a low-resource FLORES COMET-22 of 0.8168 and a 2.4% off-target rate on low-resource pairs. Smaller 2B and 9B text models ship alongside it, plus speech-translation (Index-Echo), dubbing (Index-Homura) and long-document (Index-NativeLong) companion models.
